Dear residents of Ward 1

Running for City Council was not something I ever imagined I would do, but it was a rewarding experience thanks to you. I did not encounter a single unkind word or action during this campaign. Thanks so much to my friends and family, and even complete strangers, who showed up with extraordinary support. And thanks to the residents of Ward 1 for being so welcoming at your doors and for engaging in meaningful conversations about our city. I’m not disappointed. I think Kate Hunter will be a great representative for our Ward. Good luck to her and all the other elected members of our new council. Heather O’Connell
